Cook up your tastiest pie and bring it to the Brooklyn Kitchen for judging
Daisy Flour Pie ContestThe Brooklyn Kitchen (100 Frost Street, Brooklyn, New York, NY) Map it $5
On July 13th bring your homemade pie and your friends (they can vote!) to the Brooklyn Kitchen for this contest. There will be a judges’ vote with great prizes, and a popular vote for the big prize. Pastry notables such as those great guys at BAKED will lead the judging! The $10 entry fee gets you a 2-pound bag of Daisy flour (picked up at The Brooklyn Kitchen by July 12th), which must be used in your crust. Attendees can taste pies and vote for $5 with additional votes priced at $1. Proceeds benefit the Greenpoint Soup Kitchen.
We are partnering with our favorite local flour mill, Daisy Flour in PA. Theirs is the oldest continuously operated mill in the US, ca 1765.
Want to compete? Aside from having the chance of winning the popular vote you also get to show off your flaky crusts and gooey fillings to a panel of distinguished judges.

- Each contestant will get two pounds of Daisy Organic Pastry Flour to be picked up at The Brooklyn Kitchen by July 12th.
