SF's own freak folk freak David Novick at the City's most literally underground venue
One of San Francisco’s last truly underground venues is located improbably in the basement of a vintage shop in the Tenderloin. You’d never guess from the modest exterior and crowded floorspace that just below the racks of dresses and denim jackets, a tiny windowless room has served as a stage for Ty Segall, Real Estate and Franz Ferdinand. Tonight’s show features up and coming folkie David Novick (who’s debut LP was just re-issued by Drag City imprint God? Records), shitgazers The Reds, Pinks & Purples (feat. members of The Mantles) and Donovan Quinn of Skygreen Leopards.
