Just opened in West Hollywood, DBA is a dance club that also serves as a music venue and interactive gallery space. The ever-changing space – it was designed as an empty vessel undergoing seasonal renewal depending on the guest curators temporarily taking over – was designed by Matt Winter, who also created the gorgeous environments at Sassafras, Thirsty Crow, and Oldfield’s. The first guest curator is Simon Hammerstein, crowned "nightlife king" by Vanity Fair and creator of the legendary NYC club The Box. DBA sounds sure to give LA nightlife a fresh new injection of life: Hammerstein’s work has been called "an NC-17 mash-up of Cirque du Soleil and the orgy scene from Stanley Kubrick's "Eyes Wide Shut.""
