Diane von Furstenberg's exhibit of dozens of her dresses, on view @ the May Company building.
We’re always happy for the opportunity to see more fashion exhibits in LA, so the arrival of the new show featuring designer Diane von Furstenberg’s iconic wrap dresses is cause for excitement. 40 years in the making, the show takes place at one of Los Angeles’ Art Deco architectural gems – the May Company building on Fairfax and Wilshire (and future home of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences museum). The dresses have enjoyed much love since the 1970s due to being as sexy as they are comfortable. This exhibit showcases dozens of mannequins clad in both vintage and contemporary versions of Diane’s frocks, including the one worn by Amy Adams in "American Hustle," along with numerous photos and ads, and a gallery of portraits of the designer created by such prominent artists as Andy Warhol, Helmut Newton, and Barbara Kruger.
