Hear the curious sounds of Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti at Don Bolles' club Ding-A-Ling.
When Ariel Pink was discovered by the members of Animal Collective, he was recording songs out of his house using an 8-track tape recorder. Inspired by R. Stevie Moore (aka the Godfather of home recording), he started writing music at age ten and since then his sound has evolved into '60s-inspired freak-folk rock. Though Pink is not particularly proficient at playing any instruments, he has been known to create drum sounds using his mouth and sometimes an armpit.
