“In the journal I do not just express myself more openly than I could in person. I create myself."

Adapted by performer, Moe Angelos and directed by Marian Weems, NYTW’s Sontag: Reborn--in production starting May 28th--adapts the first volume of Sontag’s journals into a synthesis of poetic video and sound. Angelos and Weems discuss the process of editing this material for the stage following a sneak peek at the performance itself. Moderated by Ann Pellegrini, director of NYU’s Center for the Study of Gender and Sexuality.
