A free screening of the Steve McQueen classic featuring free popcorn & $1 Johnny Rockets milkshakes.
The Petersen Automotive Museum’s free movie series is back. Focusing on films featuring cars that are as critical to the proceedings as the characters, the latest screening is “Bullitt,” a 1968 film starring Steve McQueen as a police detective investigating a mob hit on a man under his protection. “Bullitt” features one of the most famous car chase scenes in film history, an 11-minute scene that roars through the streets of San Francisco and helped earn the film an Oscar for best editing. Free popcorn is included in these screenings, and Johnny Rockets will sell food and drinks, including milkshakes for just a dollar.
