Whether or not he "invented" D'n'B, Goldie is an undisputed innovator of both Jungle and D'n'B, whose soundscapes and driving drum lines are synonymous with the 90's electronic boom. Goldie seems to embody a dichotomy of brutality and beauty, in both life and music. He'll lull you into a trance and then tearing you open with driving, agressive drum breaks. Similarly, he'll be you're best mate if you get on his good side, but after a life of hustling, graffitiing, and punch-ups, he's not afraid to scrap with you either. Lately he's traded drugs and alcohol for meditation and yoga and is back in the musical spotlight, but apparently he'll still knock you out if you cross him wrong, because some things you just can't change.
