Launched in 2008 with the NY Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment's blessing, Internet week is a multi-day mash-up of technology, business, and culture. Highlights of the week-long festival include the 18th Annual Webby Awards hosted by Patton Oswalt, the star-studded Webutante Ball, and the Official IWNY HQ Closing Party, which this year is co-hosted by IWNY, Mixcloud, and Astrsk PR. IWNY Headquarters is the festival's central hub, where a plethora of panels and keynotes take place. Among this year's guest speakers are Mayor Bill de Blasio, Netflix CPO Neil Hunt, Foursquare's Dennis Crowley, Omar Epps, Spike Lee, TheMuse.com's Kathryn Minshew, Upworthy's Peter Koechley, and Buzzfeed's Jonah Peretti. No matter what field you work in, be it art, finance, food, music, sports, real estate, media, healthcare, or fashion, you're sure to find something of interest at this superhighway-charged celebration. Visit the Internet Week website for complete details.
