In the years leading up to the 1979 revolution, Iranian artists were deeply involved in the narrative of modern art. They created uniquely national art, continuing the regions rich artistic history both esthetically and in its prominence. This exhibition sheds light on this unique period in Iran's history, and examines Iran's modern movement within and through the scope of the Modern art movement as a whole.
