The Naturalist's Library, a series of forty volumes published between 1833 and 1843, was edited by British naturalist, Sir William Jardine. Each book features a collection of original hand colored copperplate engravings. Along with these original engraved plates, two sizes of high quality matted glicee prints will be available for sale.
The reception starts at 7pm, with a special guest: the ghost of Sir William Jardine (his corporeal body was laid to rest in 1874).
Additional plates and prints will be for sale, by Bernard Durin and Robert Stebbins.
The show will run through February 5th.
