Determined to build a sustainable food system in New York, Just Food is a non-profit that helps local farms stay in business and creates ways to make fresh, healthy food accessible to our communities, with special attention given to low income neighborhoods. Tonight, you can help this amazing organization achieve its goals while sampling food from some of New York City's most celebrated chefs. This year's Let Us Eat Local features over 50 participating restaurants, including Aureole, Blue Hill, Gramercy Tavern, Northern Spy Food Co., Dirty Candy, Telepan, and Marlow & Sons. To complement the fine fare, a live band, an ice cream contest and refreshments from a host of local brewers and wineries are also on the evening's menu. And if you're one for exciting food experiences, auction items such as a VIP Tour of Blue Island Oyster Farm, a 2014 Aspen Food & Wine Classic Experience, and lunch with Michael Pollan are yours for the bidding.
