Mandela Day celebrates the inspiring life of Nelson Mandela, the South African hero who stands for freedom and equality. Join storyteller Michael D. McCarty to learn the story of Mandela, and celebrate your own heroes by making a banner for them. Think about how you can make the world a better place while you cover trees with your wishes, and then brighten another child’s day by making drawings and writing letters that will be sent to kids in South Africa. If you listen carefully and participate you might even win your very own book!

Presented in conjunction with Mandela for President: South Africa Votes for Democracy.
