Klaus Enrique: The ReapingFree
Join us to celebrate the opening of an exciting exhibition at Rebecca Hossack Gallery on October 16 from 6-8PM. Entitled Klaus Enrique: The Reaping, the exhibition will feature a series of photographic portraits capturing sculptural forms made entirely from fruits, vegetables, animal remains, and other organic materials. In this whimsical, breathtaking series, Enrique complicates and investigates notions of the ephemeral; a tarantula is the mask of Darth Vader, barren tree roots bend into the human face of winter, and broken eggshells comprise the rounded head of Ghandi. By reimagining works by 16th century painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo, Enrique brings fantasy to life in real time through the photographic medium.
