Intimate setting for chamber music, followed by a reception w/ French champagne & catering by Patina
Experience the rare opportunity to experience chamber music as enjoyed by Marie Antoinette at Versailles. Les Salons de Musiques, at an intimate stageless space inside the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, is an ensemble of some of the best chamber music performers. On December 8, a string quartet is playing the music of two classical music’s biggies: Edvard Grieg and Reinhold Gliere. Hear a string quartet perform Russian composer’s Gliere’s String Quartet No. 2 in G minor, Op. 20, and Norwegian composer Grieg’s String Quartet in G minor, Op. 27. The quartet includes Serena McKinney and Erik Arvinder on violins, Eric Byers on cello, and Rob Brophy on viola. After the performance, attendees and musicians are welcome to attend a reception that includes a gourmet buffet catered by Patina, along with French champagne.
