The voice of Edgar Allan Poe can be heard in the writings of many of today's great authors. Tonight, in conjunction with the Morgan Library's exhibition Edgar Allan Poe: Terror of the Soul, author Paul Auster, who found Poe's work at the age of nine, sits down with NYPL curator Isaac Gerwitz to discuss Poe's influence on his writing. The conversation also finds Auster revisiting a lecture he delivered on Poe three decades earlier. Be sure to get their early if you haven't checked out the Morgan Library's show, it's open to ticket holders.
