Launched by the former directors of the New York Underground Film Festival in the late 2000s, Migrating Forms is a heady series that gives theatrical screen time to works by experimental filmmakers and moving image artists. For 2013, the week-long fete settles at BAM and features works by Nam Jun Paik, Indian collective CAMP, Ed Atkins and more. Kicking things off is a program of new short films by video art star Ryan Trecartin, while other highlights include a screening of Without You I'm Nothing with a special appearance by shockertainer Sandra Bernhard, and Hong Kong director Johnnie To's pickpocket comedy Sparrow.
