The dream-pop trio perform in the Sculpture Garden
MoMA Nights with Au Revoir SimoneMoMA The Museum of Modern Art (11 West 53rd Street, New York, NY) Map it $25
It's time again for bands to rock the garden as MoMA reprises their weekly outdoor summer concert series programmed by PopRally. Occurring every Thursday night in July and August, this year's MoMA Nights line-up is estrogen-fueled, featuring veteran and up-and-coming women musicians. Kicking things off tonight are Au Revoir Simone. Formed in Brooklyn in 2003, the electro-pop trio are out touring in support of their 2013 release via Instant Records, Move in Spectrums. Expect the threesome to fill the Sculpture Garden with the sounds of vintage synths, drum samples and their heavenly voices. Beverages and snacks are available for purchase in the outdoor area. And, when you aren't listening to the band, you may want to look in on the museum's wonderful Lygia Clark exhibit or Alibis: Sigmar Polke 1963-2010.
