Monogamy Memoirists Meet their Match: Book Slam, Signing & Rooftop Cocktails
This BookSlam & Book Signing will be served with themed rooftop cocktails on Monday, May 20th in The Penthouse & Solarium Room at The Roger Smith Hotel in East Midtown Manhattan. Authors Ophira Eisenberg and James Braly will read passages from their recently released hilarious memoirs chronicling their unique misadventures in monogamy in a quirky debate format. Ideasmyth owner, Victoria C. Rowan will be providing the questions and the evening will wrap up with the authors signing their books—and most likely, another drink.

About the Authors:
OPHIRA EISENBERG was born in Calgary, Alberta Canada, but now makes her home in Brooklyn, NY. She is standup comic, writer, and host of NPR's weekly trivia, puzzle, and game show "Ask Me Another". She has appeared on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson", "Comedy Central", "VH-1", and is a regular host and storyteller with The Moth. Screw Everyone: Sleeping My Way to Monogamy (Seal Press/April 2013) is her first book.
JAMES BRALY is the first two-time winner of The Moth GrandSLAM, a contributor to This American Life, Selected Shorts, and The New York Times, and the creator of the Off Broadway monologue Life in a Marital Institution: 20 Years of Monogamy in One Terrifying Hour, now on national tour presented by Meredith Vieira Productions. James teaches storytelling at Fordham University. His first book, Life in a Marital Institution: 20 Years of Monogamy in One Terrifying Memoir, was just published by St. Martin's Press.
