The best embarrassing, humiliating, "I can't believe I did that" stories of the year
If you thought you couldn't get any more embarrassed about the angst-ridden diary entries, poems, and love notes penned during your teen years, Mortified is out to prove you wrong. The challenge is as follows: instead of squirreling those artifacts away in a shoebox on the top shelf of your closet, what if you instead read them out loud? In public? To a crowd of total strangers? (Tangential worry: will those strangers be laughing with you, or at you?) Dave Nadelberg, the creator of Mortified, first conceived of his idea when he found one of his own unbearably awkward love letters and started sharing them with friends. Now a monthly event at the DNA Lounge, Mortified is a regular opportunity to share the shame. Come on over and join in the fun – after all, what do you have to be embarrassed about?
