The unflinching eye of Ballad of Sexual Dependency photographer Nan Goldin made her a superstar and helped define an era of art and aesthetics culled from her honest and uncompromising pictures of the roughest edges of the New York underground, a world which she inhabited for much of the 70s and 80s. On display at Fraenkel Gallery are several as yet unseen works as well as photographs dating back to the 90s, a catalogue renown for its intimacy and trailblazing technique.
