What time is it? It's Nation Time!
Named for Joe McPhee's seminal free funk record, "Nation Time," tonight a globe-trotting group of creatives assemble to celebrate the Guggenheim's monumental nod to American artist Christopher Wool. Co-curated by Wool and writer/musician/producer John Corbett, the evening features the multi-instrumental prowess of McPhee along with punk pioneer Richard Hell, guitarist and singer Arto Lindsay and Scandinavian free jazz/garage trio The Thing, who are sure to play selections off their new LP, BOOT!. It promises to be an explosive cocktail of art and performance. And if you hit the snooze button one too many times and missed out on tickets to this now sold out event, Flavorpill is giving away a pair of tickets. Enter for your chance to win.
