How many comedians does it take to make a comedy festival in New York? In the case of the New York Comedy Festival, the answer would be over 175. Now in its 10th year, the NYCF is produced in association with Comedy Central and can be found at venues throughout the city. A mix of both seasoned pros and those trying to catch a break, this edition sees sets by Wanda Sykes, Kathy Griffin, Stephen Colbert, Jim Jeffries, John Mulaney, Bill Maher, Rhys Darby, Richard Belzer, Michael Che, and W. Kamau Bell. Also on the agenda is a conversation between Larry "Curb Your Enthusiasm" David and Showtime's Inside Comedy host David Steinberg, an evening with Chris Gethard and Friends, a talk with David Cross, improvised Shakespeare at Theatre 80 and Best of NY Sketch at the UCB. There is really an endless assortment of ways to get your laugh on, for complete details visit the festival's website.
