Celebrate The Walking Dead's new season with a multi-course meal by chef David Santos
The flesh-eating walkers are back for another season on AMC and to celebrate culinary mastermind and Louro top chef David Santos has come up with a playful multi-course meal inspired by the series. Starting off with a cocktail based on a recipe taken from the new parody cookbook The Snacking Dead, the dinner's courses include "brains," racks of ribs, venison and walker state prison capacity 444, which is sweetbread grits with a poached egg and Nutraloaf. To conclude the what-is-sure-to-be-a-memorable meal, Santos promises a bloody finale. And, as an added bonus, some lucky diners will walk away with an advance copy of The Snacking Dead and everyone receives a pack of Snacking Dead trading cards. Part of the restaurant's Nossa Mesa Monday night supper club series, bring your own beer and wine is an option, but a full bar is also available.
