The concept of dinner and a movie is taken to deliciously new heights
This competitive film festival takes the concept of dinner and a movie to deliciously new heights. Spanning five days, the seventh edition serves up another tantalizing assortment of food-themed films accompanied by meals mirroring what is being consumed on screen. In total, this year's fest dishes out six events showcasing 35 films, and over 150 foods and drinks. Plum picks include the opening night BBQ brisket feast from Champion pit masters Johnny Trigg, Tuffy Stone and John Markus following a screening of The King of BBQ: Barbecue Kuwait; Saturday night's The Food Porn Party presented by In The Raw; and the closing night sustainable food and film program, Farm to Film to Table, which includes a Matt Timms hosted Green Chile Takedown and film award ceremony. And to aide with overall digestion, part of the proceeds from the NYC Food Film Festival go to the Food Bank For New York City.
