The Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, directed by Terrance Kelly, ushers in the holidays with their 28th Annual Holiday Concert. Hosted by MTV & VH1's BD Freeman, this concert features special guests Tuck & Patti and Imani Ya Watume, Liturgical Dance Company from the Imani Community Church in Oakland. OIGC is also proud to present the The Oakland Interfaith Community Choir in their concert debut and feature the Oakland Interfaith Youth Choir, the next generation of Interfaith Gospel Singers.
According to a devoted annual attendee, "The holidays are never properly celebrated without hearing the blessedly moving rendition of O Holy Night, sung by director Terrance Kelly".

HALF-N-HALF ASL INTERPRETATION
For the third year, Sherry Hicks and Michael Velez of Half-N-Half (www.half-n-half.com) will interpret our Holiday Concert into American Sign Language (ASL). Sherry and Michael are Children of Deaf Adults (CODA) performers that collaborate and tour around the world. This dynamic duo delights audiences with their original multimedia ASL performances combining music and storytelling.
The Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir will be hosting a "Warm Coat Drive" the evening of the Holiday concert, Dec. 7 at the Paramount Theatre. Bring in a warm coat - men, women or children's - and we will donate them to the East Oakland Community Project, an emergency shelter for people who are homeless. A warm coat can really make a difference to someone in need, especially during the holiday season!
