Rock 'n' roll and fashion collide at this stunning party happening from MATTE
Fashion and rock collide at Act II of MATTE's three-part Painted Black series. Not your typical party planners, MATTE have an eye for the stylish and create one-of-a-kind visually engaging interactive experiences inspired by the musicians performing. For this evening's event, which also celebrates the collaboration between fashion labels Maje and K-Way, the shoegaze-y rock band fronted by Zachary Cole Smith takes center stage. DIIV, who are signed to Captured Tracks, should play a mix of familiar and new tunes as a sophomore LP is expected in the coming months. Indie-pop trio Guards are also on the bill, Aerosyn Lex and Nathaniel Brown provide creative direction, and Twin Shadow stops in to DJ.
On February 20th, PAINTED BLACK returns to Irving Plaza for Act II for a night of Rock & Roll music with DIIV, Twin Shadow, and Guards.
Each of these acts will be paired with visually stunning interactive shows that have been created collaboratively with the performers and have never been seen before.
