SF indie electro-pop duo celebrate the release of their debut full length LP with Soft Metals
Painted Palms’ debut full length LP “Forever,” out on Polyvinyl Records, has been a long time coming. The duo first caught the hype wave way back in 2011 when they released their first EP “Canopy” free on the internet, catching the eye (and ear) of pretty much every indie fanboy out there with catchy synth pop melodies a la Neon Indian and eventually landing them a slot on the Secretly Canadian roster. Most impressively, the two friends behind Painted Palms, Christopher Prudhomme and Reese Donohue, weren’t even living in the same state when they wrote the songs, instead sending tracks back and forth through e-mail before arriving at a finished product. Now, Prudhomme and Donohue are back in the same city, San Francisco as it were, and are finally releasing a debut full length.
