Get your J-pop on at this annual celebration of traditional and contemporary Japanese culture. Running all weekend, Sakura Matsuri is one of New York's most spectacular events and features tea ceremonies, Taiko drumming, Samurai sword fighting, Bonsai, Tokyo goth gals, Victorian maidens, games, and heaps of cherry blossoms. This year, the festival catches them at the beginning of the season, so you may be able to see a bloom or two popping. Be sure to check the schedule before you head out, you'll likely not want to miss the IchiP Dance Party or the BBG Parasol Society Fashion Show with J-pop singer Hitomi Himekawa of Rainbow Bubble.
