La Cocina Presents the 2013 San Francisco Street Food Festival! Saturday, August 17 in the Mission
In San Francisco, we like taking our street food to new heights. The Crème Brûlée guy teaches us that you don't need to eat at Chez Panisse to get a delicious torched-custard treat, and Hapa Ramen demonstrates that even a steaming bowl of noodles can go mobile. Today, La Cocina, a company that helps foodie micro-entrepreneurs take their ideas to the streets, hosts the fifth annual Street Food Festival. Chow down on snacks like Three Twins' milk coffee ice cream and Liba's falafel, but pace yourself — the festival is five blocks of pure lip-smacking sustenance. This year, in conjunction with the festival, La Cocina also hosts its second annual San Francisco Night Market on August 16th, and its annual Street Food Conference, which includes workshops and open forums.
