Startup to Success: Entrepreneurs Share Their StoriesNYU Kimmel Center (60 Washington Square South, New York, NY) Map it Free
With so many tech startups finding success in New York, Tech In Motion thought it would be valuable to hear it straight from some of the best at the game, the founders themselves who can successfully say they’ve “made it.” It’s one thing to think of an idea, propose it, and create a startup for yourself, but how do you draw the line from just another startup to a prosperous business?
Kunal Mehta, the local New York City author of Disruptors: Entrepreneurs and The Escape From Corporate America, has provided insights and interviews with numerous noteworthy entrepreneurs located around New York City. At this event, the panelists will consist of multiple entrepreneurs giving their insight on what they’ve found to work and not work in the city, as well as their own personal struggles and successes of starting and growing their company in New York.
About the Moderator & Author: Kunal Mehta worked at J.P. Morgan for four years during his collegiate career and after graduation worked in Equities Trading at Nomura Securities. Despite his interest in the financial industry and building life-long relationships in that field, Kunal had an itch to take the risk he long thought about and explore into the opportunities of forming his own business. While attempting to develop his own ideas along with tackling his decision to leave finance, Kunal became inspired by the eminent entrepreneurs of his generation that, similar to him, pursued their own passion. In 2013, Kunal interviewed these acknowledged founders and uncovered the initial struggles and stand stills they too faced.
