Five German artists came together in 2012 to create the exhibition "Superposition," a showcase of contemporary work exploring the increasing dichotomy between the real and virtual world. The work, created by Cornelia Renz, Jens Hanke, Marcel Buehler, and Peter and Torsten Ruehle, was first exhibited in Berlin in 2012 and 2013 and now travels to the United States for the first time at the Goethe Institute in San Francisco. The artists showcased come from a variety of educational and social backgrounds; some are self-taught while others studied at institutions such as the Liberal Art Institute of Leipzig, a school with a long and respected tradition in drawing and the visual arts.
