Friday March 21st marks the first Friday of the Vernal Equinox. In triumph of surviving the the recent polar vortex and in celebration of impending Spring birth and rebirth, Big Law Country Club Gallery and RHLS are proud to present THAW a group exhibition featuring a wide range of Brooklyn based artists.

The exhibition is situated in an old Bushwick furniture factory, recently renovated into studio spaces. Soon the rooms will be rented so there is a short shelf life for this kind of public accessibility. Artwork can be viewed in 3 separate galleries as well as alternate crevices throughout the building. One gallery will read like a seasonal pinwheel in direct response to the eminent change in weather. Others will be comprised of installations that grow situationally out of the building’s infrastructure.

Highlighting a DIY ethos, the exhibition is an ode to the alternative art space movement which took roots in Soho the 1960’s and was based off the spontaneous ‘grab the bull by the horns’ initiatives of those local artists.

Artists include:

Alexandria Tarver
Alli Coates & Signe Pierce
