The root, heart & soul of Anguilla - British Dependency

Creating music that reflects originality, talent, togetherness, bravery and wisdom. Creating sounds that command attention as they dip, dive, drop and harmonize to convey more music than a typical 3-piece band. Combining their varied talents, backgrounds, and professionalism in a coveted manner as one, that is British Dependency – “Our Music, Our Future and Our Independence”.

Also known as “BD”, the band name British Dependency is about where the members come from, but not what they are about or where they are going. A blend of voices, drums, guitar, and bass. BD’s music is eclectic, as the musicians were influenced by a variety of genres and as well as from what comes from within. Proudly possessing Anguilla’s first female bass player, Joyah, a young superstar drummer, Jaiden, and Ruel, the lead vocalist and guitar player of rare skill. BD is currently creating powerful music, songs of protest and pushing boundaries, as they search for their independence from trend and technique, stagnate movers and empty promises. BD is continually open to new roads of empowerment and forward-thinking in all aspects, as they soundly put their root, heart and soul in to all they do as humans and musically.
