The Sketchbook Project 2013 Tour brings 11,000 sketchbooks from all over the world to SF for viewing
The Sketchbook Project is Brooklyn-based Art House Co-op's flagship collaborative art endeavor. The project launches each year with a call for creative-minded folk — anyone, from anywhere — to purchase an official Sketchbook Project sketchbook and then contribute it to the ever-growing sketchbook library. Now, the 2013 installment of sketchbooks is going on national tour (according to Art House, "It's like a concert tour, but with sketchbooks"). Comprised of over 11,000 artist's sketchbooks from all over the world, the project makes its stop in San Francisco in July; when the tour ends in August, the full collection will be permanently housed in Art House's storefront, the Brooklyn Art Library, and available for public viewing. Stop by for some creative inspiration, as engendered by thousands of imaginations all in one space. You might find yourself motivated to take part in The Sketchbook Project 2014.
