S.A.S.S. takes on the first Thanksgiving, the Civil War and 9/11

Small_ca90d7cb4e97b32951ddb7f7a7758dbe The Society for the Advancement of Social Studies

The Society for the Advancement of Social Studies (SASS!) is proud to present a series of free lectures designed to both entertain and enlighten. The 2nd Tuesday of each month we meet at a bar to discuss historical topics that you probably knew at one point but don’t remember anymore. Plus, themed drink specials.

Get ready to disown your middle school social studies book as SASS investigates some commonly held misconceptions of American History.

The evening's speakers will cover controversies surrounding:

- What ACTUALLY went down at the First Thanksgiving
- The real reasons the American Civil War had to be a thing
- Debunking 9/11 conspiracy theories

DJ Kate Pilgrim believes the truth will set you free.
