An old-world Mexican-style grotto in the heart of Highland Park
When two international brewing distributors and an artist got together to open their own bar in 1999, they didn't know their business would eventually grow to include several other themed watering holes across California, including Bigfoot Lodge and Thirsty Crow. Appropriately named after the year prohibition was repealed, the 1933 Group overhauled Highland Park's Little Cave last year. Newly dubbed "La Cuevita," this neighborhood bar is chic, with a wide range of tequilas and mescals. Every Tuesday night, it's offering free tacos and $5 margaritas.
