The queen of rockabilly still packs a whollop

Remember when the only thing that would satisfy your soul was a movin’ and groovin’? If there is one person who does, it’s the legendary Queen of Rockabilly Wanda Jackson, who in 1958 became the first woman to ever record a rock and roll song- “Let’s Have a Party.” In the past four years Jackson has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as well as received a Lifetime Achievement award at the Americana Music Awards. Her latest album Unfinished Business includes fresh material and covers from other musicians such Townes Van Zandt and Etta James. Fifty-five years after Jackson recorded “Let’s Have a Party” her sassy rock and roll attitude hasn’t changed much.
