If we had one wish for our 2013 Summer soundtrack, it's that Washed Out's Paracosm had dropped earlier than August 13th. The perfect ear candy for a lazy warm weather day, Paracosm is a sunny daydream inducer; all you need to do is close your eyes, think of someplace wonderful and the album's lush, atmospheric tracks will transport you there. Ernest Greene's second album for Sub Pop under the Washed Out moniker, Paracosm was composed in Greene's new home in Athens, GA, and then recorded with co-producer Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Deerhunter, Gnarls Barkley) in Atlanta. Tonight, Greene stops in New York to cast his hazy orchestral spell over Terminal 5; it should be good vibes all around.
