“Paulos' paintings and sketches vary from cartoon-like pictures with hints of dark, Tim Burton-style spookiness, to bright and whimsical splashes of color that playfully dart across the canvas as they depict equally colorful characters. Her recent projects include Localize Anonymity, which involves three local performers (a male performer from Le Rêve and two artists from Cirque du Soleil productions, one of the ushers from Believe and one of the female leads from Zumanity); doing live painting at the Japan'd-Aid fundraiser at Blackbird Studios; and contributing to Back in the Day at Insert Coin(s) with pieces that were inspired by two video games, Samurai Shodown and Darkstalkers. This exhibit at Caramel gives Paulos a chance to share her carious works with the locals art community.
