This Barbican exhibition presents history's equivalent of the top shelf (or the sock drawer), allowing visitors to peruse some of the most coveted, carefully hidden and defamed pieces of creative titillation from centuries' worth of artists, theorists and Larry Flynts. Blush as incarnations of sex are emblazoned on the walls and moaned from the eaves, blurring that already soft-focus line between blue and Bacon, wench and Warhol. If you're feeling conservative, bring your own set of fig leaves because this extensive collection — ranging from porn to papyrus — pulls the naughty out of the shadows for its due consideration.
