Riverside Studios' newest exhibition, Women and Movements features 20 black-and-white photographs taken from the roughly 4,000 that appear on Claudia Ferreira and Claudia Bonan's website, Mulheres e Movimentos. The images portray Brazilian and Latin American women involved in various political and cultural factions throughout the '90s; spotlighting everything from the mobilisation of indigenous females to protests concerning issues such as homosexuality, the UNIFEM-funded project aims to shed light on the significant role of women in history by preserving their active strength and unstoppable spirit.
