Everyone has an opinion about James Lavelle. He's variously described as a collaborative virtuoso — capable of bringing together established stars alongside lesser-known up-and-comers — or as a talentless chancer who surrounds himself with genius in the hope that some will rub off. Despite the sceptics, however, Lavelle continues expanding his mini-empire. The third album from the 'Mo Wax founder looks to bring together a more rockier musical conglomerate with contributions from the Cult's Ian Astbury, Josh Homme and the Duke Spirit. The sheer amount of talent on board for this gig promises a mix of old-fashioned rock 'n roll that somehow works alongside Lavelle's trademark downbeat electronica.
