Golden Fluffer takes a cue form John Keats' observation that "beauty is truth, truth beauty". Through the work of seven contemporary artists, the exhibition attempts to get to the truth about beauty by exploring its many and various forms. Husband-and-wife art collective Heather & Ivan Morison use the natural world as their starting point — and often as their materials. Dallas Seitz and Leo Fitzmaurice, on the other hand, both draw on manmade inspirations: Seitz distorts familiar commercial concepts such as packaging and flyers, and Fitzmaurice deals in ephemera and everyday objects. Meanwhile, Adam Latham displays his striking juxtapositions of cartoonish Afro-Caribbean women and men with the detritus of modern life. Alison O'Daniel and Giuseppe Mistretta round things out with unpredictable performance pieces.
