Berlin's !K7 Records roster reads like a Who's Who of progressive electronica, so its birthday shindigs are always worth checking out. With 22 candles on the cake, the label hands the headphones to the esteemed compilers of its DJ Kicks series to get the party started. It's all about !K7's strong British links tonight, with the Union Jack represented by Brick Lane legends Hot Chip — electro-pop innovators who seem incapable of releasing a duff disc; Playgroup renaissance man Trevor Jackson; and Putney's Four Tet, initiating the stranger side of the proceedings. Last, but not least, Michael Fakesch of Funkstörung adds a continental edge.
