The Menier Chocolate Factory presents a new staging of notorious, uproarious gender bender La Cage aux Folles. The Broadway reincarnation of the French-play-turned-film-turned-Hollywood-remake (The Birdcage, 1996) couches its critique of '70s-era homophobia in a hilarious script and catchy tunes. The cast features award-winners Douglas Hodge and Philip Quast, and Terry Johnson directs. Be prepared for a campy drag show, classic songs and a touching, humorous story about a son who brings his fiancée home to meet "mum and dad".
