Camden Arts Centre says…

Artist Steven Claydon curates this incredibly long-monikered exhibition exploring the relationship between artworks and art spaces. Though Claydon's own art is preoccupied with the past — his works are peppered with historic references and often aged to look like relics — this show features a variety of media, including ceramics, photography, video and sculpture. For this group show, he has drawn on the past and looks to the future: Alberto Giacometti's iconic '30s sculptures are displayed alongside Jenny Holzer's '80s conceptual text pieces and Dame Elisabeth Frink's '70s bronzes. Meanwhile, newer works take the form of film installations by Bonnie Camplin and a specially commissioned sculpture by US artist Charles Simonds.
