Nightlife always tastes best in winter, when good vibes and warming liquor present welcome salvation from the bleakest elements London's asphalt moorland can offer. These sentiments were obviously in the mind of blogger and vinyl junkie Jean-Paul Séculaire when he put together this new intimate DJ session at Filthy MacNasty's. Few genres of music feel as comfortable and careworn as bebop, funk and blues (from Séculaire's vintage collection), and few tipples burn cold away from the bones like whiskey (from the proprietor's specialist store). Add some soothing cuisine in the form of pie 'n mash and you have the recipe for the perfect cockle-caressing, Sunday-night respite.
