2005 Turner Prize nominee Darren Almond graces the stark Hoxton White Cube with his projects from Tibet and the British Isles. Following in the vein of his Fullmoon photographic style — involving moonlight and extremely long exposure times — Almond transforms landscapes into multifaceted stages for interpretation. Almond's British photographs cast remote, uninhabited locations in iridescent monochrome, with a sense of suspended time in the clinging mist and geographical formations. Complementing this collection, three new large-scale pieces depict Tibetan prayer flags mutated by moonlight that traces the flags' nighttime movement. Neither static nor fluid, Almond's images seem to embody a sense of perpetual change.
