Prolific playwright Noël Coward was once described by fellow dramatist Terence Rattigan as "a phenomenon... unlikely to occur ever again in theatre history". Coward may have been born in 1899, but his work is still as popular and relevant as ever and this exhibition is timed to coincide with the National's revival of his play Present Laughter and the publication of The Letters of Noël Coward. The vast selection of photographs, letters and personal artefacts on display includes memorable highlights such as a silk dressing gown, emblematic of Coward's signature louche style.
